Parent Tot Swim Lessons

The foundation of Parent-Tot is for participants to gain a set of basic skills that help prepare infants and young children to become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim. This class also provides parents with information and techniques to create safer aquatic experiences for their children. A swim diaper must be worn. The group class is a one week, 4-day, 30-minute lesson. Ages 6 months to 3 years of age. Register online!

Recommended for children 6 to 14 years old.  The Litchfield Park Recreation Center is streamlining its registration process for youth group lessons.  When registering for swim lessons all you need to do is choose the session date and time that works best for your schedule.

Our Aquatics team will make sure your child is placed in the correct level on the first day of class.  There are 32 spots available per time slot.

On the first day of class, certified American Red Cross instructors will run a quick 10 minute skills assessment to evaluate your child's swimming skills.  From there your child will be placed in the appropriate class, along with other similarly skilled children.  All level classes will maintain a 1 instructor to 8 participants ratio and will be 30 minutes in class length.

*Swim meet will be held during the indicated sessions, make-up classes will be offered the following Friday.
